Help your adult English students prepare their conversation skills for the Winter Olympics.
Maybe they are traveling, working at, or simply talking about the Olympics; either way, this course gets them familiar with language they may hear in the excitement of the games.
There are 12 Lesson modules in this mini-course, which can be done in one-hour sessions for 1 week (intensively - 2hrs/day) or just over 2 weeks (1hr/day)
Each Module Includes:
- a vocabulary list,
- grammar lessons with usually 2 drills and several practice pages per drill.
- a sample - customizable - practice dialogue for fellow students or with a teacher
- conversation questions that include either the Olympics-specific lesson topic, or simply practice the grammar points learned in the lesson.
Every 3 lessons comes with a review presentation that covers most of the points learned in the previous lessons, as well as an expanded conversation to review structure and topics. This brings the total to 16 slideshow presentations
Here is a link to an unlisted YouTube video where I show how to present the lesson.
I talk slower in the video because I am also using it to guide English students using it for self-study.
The lessons cover the following topics:
Talking and Showing Empathy to Angry or Stressed People
Foods, Lists, and Dietary Lifestyles of the World
Fuel your students' Olympic fever by giving the English they will want to use the MOST in the near future.
After this helps you, please share my YouTube channel, EnglishWin, on social media. You are welcome to use any of the videos I present as lesson ideas or supplemental material. It would mean a lot. Thanks.
