This is a an elemental arrangement for classroom percussion in A Lah pentatonic, themed for the Winter Olympics. Please forgive my complete lack of understanding of Ice Hockey. I am an Australian teacher, so to me Ice Hockey looks cool but confusing. I did some research and tried to come up with a humorous little song that used some quotes about the sport along with some facts for the accompanying parts. I hope you take this as it is intended, all in good fun.
Ways you could use it include:
Watching some videos (which can be found easily on YouTube) to give the children some background knowledge of the sport and the roles each of the team members play. Then learning the arrangement.
I have left a B section that is totally sparse to leave room for students to improvise.
This arrangement is a way to introduce the Lah Pentatonic sound to your students. Two of the parts have anacruses, making for a nice little focus on the concept of anacrusis.
