Differentiate reading intervention this winter with three phonics card games. Your students will practice isolated phonics skills with three different games: short vowel CVC, long vowel CVCe super E game, and sh, ch, tch digraph with short vowels. Easy prep and consistent phonics practice lends itself to small groups, guided reading, word work, early finisher, and intervention.
This bundle includes three separate games. All three are the same, minus the words and phonics skills to allow a predictable format if students move up to practicing another skill. These read and keep card games are quickly becoming a favorite amongst my students, myself, and adult volunteers for its predictable format and no frills phonics practice.
What is included?
Gingerbread CVC Read and Keep Card Game
Gingerbread CVCe Read and Keep Card Game
Gingerbread Digraph Read and Keep Card Game
Directions are included with easy to read sight words and pictures, and suggestions for volunteers are included.
I hope you and your students enjoy! This type of card game is quickly becoming a class favorite for my firsties. I love that they are still learning and also how little prep it is (even when laminating). Place the cards in a can (save those coffee cans!) or a small paper bag, and your kids are set to go.
