Description

Available in both a digital and print (black and white and color)version, these 44 winter-themed Photo Writing Prompts will keep your students excited about writing! The prompts focus on narrative, opinion, explanatory, and descriptive writing for students in 3rd through 5th grade.

Have you ever struggled to find everything you need to accompany a writing prompt? In this print and go resource, you will find graphic organizers, word lists, charts, and rubrics specific to each type of writing.

In the print and go version, the prompts are available in two styles – one per page and four per page. Each page contains a photo, the prompt, and a writing checklist for students to refer to. The digital version contains one prompt per page.

IN THIS RESOURCE YOUR WILL FIND:

All materials are available in both print and Google Slides™ versions

  • graphic organizers to go with each type of prompt - narrative, opinion, explanatory, and descriptive writing
  • word lists - vivid verbs, transition words, opinion words, winter words, character traits
  • Charts for each type of writing

The writing prompts can be used in whole-class instruction, a writing center, and as an early finisher activity.
