This resource can be used one of two ways. The cards can simply be used as task cards, or they can be used to play “top-it.” This resource includes both tens & ones for lower level/younger students and hundreds, tens, & ones for upper level/older students.
If using as task cards: Leave the task cards in a center or stick them on the walls around the classroom. Students will either pull one card at a time/find one card at a time and write the answer in the appropriate box of the answer sheet. Answer sheets are included.
If using as the “top-it” game: This game is played very much like “War.” You can either pass the cards out evenly amongst players and have them flip the top card over during each round of play or you can leave all of the cards in a pile/scattered on the table number side down. If playing this way, each player will select a card and then the players will have to determine who’s card is the “top” card.
If you like this product, please consider leaving feedback. I love creating materials for my own students and want to continue to make quality resources that others will find as useful as I do. If there is a way to adapt this to better fit the needs of others, please let me know and I would be happy to modify!
