This is a combination of a webquest, a group assignment, and an individual creative project designed to get students comparing and contrasting poetry, analyzing poetry, and looking at varied perspectives on one theme or subject.
Students complete a webquest individually, then they complete a group component with two other students. Then they are asked to create an artistic "masterpiece" individually to be presented in their groups.
This is a great assignment to use poetry to introduce the concept of interpreting multiple perspectives. It can take up to 5 days of in class work. OR it can be as little as 2-3 days if you assign aspects of it as homework.
