Use these printables to supplement a winter unit. Activities include tracing, coloring by letter, and tracing and writing winter words.
Let’s Make a Snowman Interactive Poem {Pg. 19-26}
Post this poem on a pocket chart and allow learners to build a snowman together while reading
Winter Puppets {Pg. 27-29}
Use these puppets to allow learners to act out stories in Santa’s Workshop.
Winter Five Senses {Pg. 30-35}
Use these charts after reading a winter book and allow learners to describe the season using their five senses.
Alphabet Dominos {Pg. 36-46}
Have the learners play the game of dominos by matching the picture to the correct initial sound. Ext: Have the learners complete the work page by coloring the correct letter for each earmuff.
Alphabet Puzzles {Pg. 47-75}
Have the learners match the uppercase and lowercase letters. Ext: Have the learners put the letters in alphabetical order.
Rhyming {Pg. 76-83}
Have the learners match the snowmen that rhyme.
Word Patterns {Pg. 84-87}
Have the learners sort the -et and -en word patterns and practice reading the words.
Beginning Addition {Pg. 88-93}
Have the learners roll the die to create an addition problem. Cut out the snowballs using a 1.5” hole punch and allow the learners to show the problem on the addition mat. The learners may write the equations they create on the workpage.
Number Puzzles {Pg. 94-97}
Have the learners use the numbers to help them put the puzzles back together.
Size Sorting {Pg. 98-104}
Have the learners sort the pictures by their size.
