At least one time during the long, cold winter months, I like to take a break from normal reading groups, and allow my students to perform a Readers' Theater.
Why don't you take your students on a fun trip to Miller Mountain?!
This script contains five scenes. Each scene takes place at a different location on Miller Mountain. Characters are exclusive to each scene, which allows for assigning students to a single particular scene. Each scene's small group of young thespians can then practice their scene and ultimately perform for their classmates - or another class!
Check the preview to check out the readability and to determine if it is appropriate for your students. (I wrote the scripts with my fourth and fifth grade students in mind.)
Also included in the download are my teacher notes, explaining how I use this Readers' Theater over the course of five days.
This is also part of a BUNDLE. If you like to do Readers' Theaters throughout the school year, you might want to check this out! Readers’ Theater BUNDLE (scripts to use throughout the year)
