Glacier Gangs and Ice My House have reading levels in the 4th grade range. Polar Precipitation Playtime and Shiver Me Swimmers are in the 5th grade range. I would recommend that 3rd grade teachers plan on doing these orally with students while modeling good reading strategies. Most 4th-6th graders who are already familiar with this type of testing format should be able to complete these independently.
As an added critical thinking BONUS, have students explain why they think the title of each reading passage was chosen.
I’d appreciate your purchase, your rating, and your feedback.
