Description
This is a science nonfiction text about snowflakes. It is an independent read for upper elementary grades, but would make a great read aloud or choral read for the lower grades. It talks about how snowflakes are formed. It is paired with a winter activities for kids that involves the snow/water cycle. There is also a suggested STEM projects in which students create snowflakes with marshmallows and toothpicks! There there are several graphic organizers and worksheets for you to choose from depending on the level of your students for independent follow-up work after the reading. There are also two posters depicting the "snow cycle" for you to refer to, again depending on the needs of your students!
