This file is a great way to get young musicians working on practicing ta, ti-ti, ti-ri-ti-ri rhythms (quarter, eighth, & sixteenth notes).
This file includes all the following:
- 37 manipulatives (in both color and black and white) of various winter pictures for students to separate into ta, ti-ti, ti-ri-ti, ti-ti-ri and ti-ri-ti-ri categories. (This is open to any syllables or counting a teacher uses and you could separate the pictures to work with a variety of grade levels)
- Various ideas on how to use the manipulatives for practice with your students
- Rhythm sort worksheets that can be used in conjunction with manipulatives or separate (One with ta and ti-ti; one with ta, ti-ti, and ti-ri-ti-ri; one with ti-ti-ri, ti-ri-ti, and ti-ri-ti-ri)
- Composition project worksheet where students can get practice drawing rhythms and then creating their own composition. (one with ta and ti-ti; one with ta, ti-ti, and ti-ri-ti-ri; one with ti-ti-ri, ti-ri-ti, and ti-ri-ti-ri)
