Going on a scavenger hunt is a great way to break away from desk activities. Students can spend time with classmates while observing the sights of Winter and learning about the great outdoors! This scavenger hunt could provide a wealth of opportunities for active fun and it will satisfy the students' natural urge to explore and learn about the world in which they live. It has items for countries with warm or cold weather. This activity is also great for word recognition and can open the door to discussions about nature, how seasons change, winter sports etc.
This activity requires very little preparation time. It comes with pages with pictures and matching words for children to find as they walk through the neighbourhood.. The students just put a check mark beside the items they find. There are also pages which require students to find an item in a category such as "something in the air". For this, the children can draw the items or write the words of the things they find.
I have left almost all of the clip art in colour but it can be printed in black and white by hitting "print", "colour" and selecting either "black and white" or "gray scale".
Due to the digital nature of this product, no refunds will be given.
