Description

Great activity for the winter holidays! In this activity, students design and build a sled to investigate motion, forces, and speed. Students follow the engineering design process to test and improve their sleds so that they slide faster down a ramp.

Includes:

- Fun scenario to introduce the challenge

- 2 levels of worksheets - one for elementary, one for middle school

- extension activities to investigate motion, speed, and friction using sleds

- vocabulary list of motion vocabulary

- teacher notes and supply list.
