This story features 3 year old Violet and her 7 year old brother Norman who wake up one morning to find their world covered in snow.
“Winter Snow Fun” is written in simple sentence structure and targets the syntactic structures they, regular past tense verbs & and. The structures are underlined in the student responses on the teacher pages. A data collection sheet, Comprehension/Recall Questions, articulation words contained in the story, and 12 visual cue cards are included.
Print and laminate visual cue cards; print teacher narrative and place in sheet protectors.

Read through the story once. DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS ON THE FIRST READ. Read the story a second time asking the questions. Children repeat the modeled structures in a sentence imitation format. Two levels of complexity are listed as possible responses.
