Snowman snowball fight! Speech therapy winter articulation activities with pictures for simple CVC words and phonemes in Initial and final positions. With multiple ways to use these adorable snowman dough mats, you'll be pulling these out all season long for your winter and snowman themes.

This apraxia-friendly set includes hard-to-find practice for phonemes like "ng". You'll target initial and final consonant deletion too.

Cover the pictures with a ball of play dough, Your children will love smashing their snowballs as they practice.

Or...grab dot markers to use with the BW version as you practice articulation skills.

This set includes mats for initial and final word positions, for both early and later-developing phonemes like r, l, s, and th too. Older students can have fun at the sentence level making up silly sentences with a combo of 2-3 of the pictured words.

Need No-Prep? The B&W version is perfect for using colorful dot markers, bingo chips or color the pictures with markers or crayons. Send them home for homework too. Just print and go!

Providing Teletherapy? You can also use this product virtually with the digital TpT Easel™ activity I've already created for you. Practice each word, then grab a snowball from the bucket to cover it. The snowballs are moveable!

Have your students repeat each word found 10x for 100 practice opportunities per page!



  • Smash Mats: Use laminated pages. Roll a ball of dough and place it on each snowball. Choose a snowball and practice the articulation word. Then smash the dough flat to make that snowball go splat!
  • Dry Erase Markers: Use laminated pages. Students color a snowball after they practice each word.
  • Bingo Chips: Put a bingo chip on each snowball after practicing the word. When done, scoop them up with a magnet!
  • Dot markers: Use a B&W page. Students dot the snowballs as they practice each word.
  • Crayons or Markers: Use a BW page. Students color the snowballs as they practice each word.
  • Send it home for home practice!
