If you’re trying to find the time to create some student-made decorations to will make your first grade classroom bright and beautiful for winter, here’s a math craftivity
that’s on target to help you deck your halls while the math learning continues!
The directions for this set of five subtraction game boards
are simple. Roll two dice, subtract the smaller number from the larger, and color a space that has that number. Students can play alone, with a partner, or in a small group,
using their own pages or sharing one.
The extra fun comes in all the different ways that these pictures will look when completed, because there is no "code" - students choose their own colors! Encourage your little learners to use bright colors and press hard, because each unique page will combine to make a beautiful display for your classroom … just tape to a window and let the light shine through. They'll glow like little stained glass windows!
The pictures on the games in this set are ladybug elves, penguin, presents (2), and a Christmas tree.
