Product Description
Subtraction Practice Activities - Task Cards Set: Get your class up and moving while practicing subtraction facts! This is a fun Scoot game and/or math task card center in a snowman theme! It's a great way to practice math skills as a whole group activity during the winter months as part of your snowy or arctic thematic unit. Simply set out a numbered card at each desk or post the cards around the room. Students scoot about completing the math problems and rotating to the next task card when signaled. Children write the answer to each problem on the recording sheet provided.

This can also be kept in your math tubs or used for fast finishers. The cards can be used repeatedly as a review activity that is ready to go when you have a few extra minutes here and there.

The printables in the file have been created both in black and white and in color for your printing needs.

Here's what's included:
~30 cards (some can be omitted for a smaller class)
~answer key
~recording sheet (30 boxes or 24 boxes)

The activity is best suited for first grade or second grade students who are working toward math fact fluency.

Common Core Standards:

CCSS.Math.Content.1.OA.C.6 Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10.
2.OA.B.2 Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies.
