After learning about arrays for a few weeks now, my students needed a game to play as a fun way to reinforce all the knowledge they have gained! The 3 easy to play games in this package are perfect for younger students as they include big, bright images, in simple yet meaningful form!
The games and worksheets included in the package will help students meet CCSS:
2.G.2: I can divide a rectangle into rows and columns and count the total number.
This standard has students identifying and creating arrays as well as practicing repeated addition. This is a great preview for multiplication.
24 Array Picture and Equation cards
3 Games (individual, partner, or small group) Arrays Match Up, Arrays-Go-Fish, Array Memory
A follow-up worksheet that matches each game!
The Array Picture and Equation cards could easily be used for an informal assessment, too!
TIME SAVER BONUS!!!!
I created the Array picture and equation cards to be foldable to cut down on your time! You will not need to cut out the cards, then glue them to construction paper, then cut them out again, then laminate. Skip all those steps and simply cut, fold, glue, laminate! It took me less than a minute to make two cards!
