This purchase includes three different main idea/supporting detail practice activities for independent student work, center work, or a whole-group activity.
In each of the three activities, students will read 3-4 different main ideas and then choose which supporting details go with each one.
In the first activity, students will read a main idea (snowman's head) and then glue the three supporting details (snowman's body and pile of snow beneath the snowman) to the corresponding main idea.
In the second activity, students will read main idea hot chocolate mugs and then choose corresponding supporting detail marshmallows.
In the third activity, students will read main idea fireplaces and then choose corresponding supporting details logs to go in the fire.
Each of these activities requires scissors for cutting out supporting details and glue for gluing them on the corresponding main idea pictures.
(The nonfiction topics addressed in these activities are snow/winter)
