Meet Sight Word the Snowman! This is an enjoyable center activity for students to practice sight words. Print out and laminate a snowman, mittens, hat, skates, and buttons for each player. Pick which sight words your students will work on and write those words on a wooden cube. Each student takes a turn rolling and reading a sight word. Students use the key to see which part he or she can add to Sight Word the Snowman. The first player to build Sight Word wins! To make a fun art project out of it trace the pieces on construction paper and let students make the snowman instead of using the mat! This makes a great free choice activity or partner game as well.
