It's time to deal with the cold as only a math class can with this timely activity.
The students are given a list of linear equations and their domain or range. Some of the equations have been replaced with two coordinate points that represent the endpoints of line segments.
The students will first need to find the equations of the lines passing through each set of endpoints. Then graph all of the equations, each with the corresponding domain or range, connecting the lines only within the designated zones.
When they are done, they will have graphed a copy of a Winter Time Thermometer.
A copy of the Winter Time Thermometer - A Linear Graphing Activity is included and is intended to be used as a possible answer key.
Here are some tips:

Using a ruler helps to align each line with its equation
I have found that printing graph paper directly from themathworksheetsite.com helps out, but any graph paper will do.
Remember to copy double-sided to save paper.
Technology Option: Use your favorite equation and domain graphing software or website.
I highly recommend using Desmos.com
for this activity.
