Product Description

This Winter themed pack is a fun way to work on those all important Visual Perception skills. I am finding more and more students who have delays in this area and it is negatively impacting their education. Students cannot learn to form shapes, form letters, recognize letter, read, etc without these skills. Try incorporating these worksheets into your curriculum and/or therapy sessions and you will be amazed how much it carries over into other areas !

These worksheets are great for improving visual motor skills! Students need to be able to scan left to right for reading. Encourage left to right scanning vs randomly marking items off of the sheet when completing these worksheets. You can have the students mark off the items in many different ways. You can have them use a bingo dauber, regular pencils, markers, or even place candies on the correct pictures. In therapy sessions, I like to have students use tongs or other tools to place craft poms on the sheets. As always, be mindful of allergies and diet restrictions when working with any edible items. The hidden parts/Gray box worksheets really helps students practice learning to pay attention to details. The word scramble is also just a fun way to practice visual and fine motor skills. Pages 5-7 can be laminated and used with dry erase markers. Pages 18-21 are simply matching cards. Talk about which ones are right hand gloves vs left hand gloves. Page 22 is a tracer page that goes with the snowman shape matching. The kids match the snowman shape cards and them trace the shapes that match the pairs as they make them. Remember to incorporate movement whenever you can ! I have kids ride the scooter, hop, skip, etc. to retrieve one set of cards to match. Try hiding one set around the room. This adds even more visual challenge. I tried to include varied levels of difficulty in this set. It is especially helpful for those of us who work in Special Education when working with a classroom/group of varied abilities. I hope you enjoy these activities!
