Pages 21-33: Real life photos to work on perspective taking and “What are they thinking?” Download my PDF file to your IPAD, use on your laptop, SMARTBOARD or print on cardstock and laminate. Have your students think of phrases that the people could be thinking in the pictures. Ask them inferencing questions such as “Where do you think the people are?”, “What do you think they are doing?” and “What clues in the picture help you to think that is what the person is thinking?”
Pages 34-42: Snowball Conversation Game. Be the first player to build their snowball tower! Pick a conversation topic. When a student asks a question, you give them a question snowball to add to their snowball tower. Same for if someone makes a comment. If someone interrupts or talks too much, you can give them a penalty card. They either have to remove the snowball or take a snowball off. The person to get the most question and comment snowballs wins!
