Winter and Holiday Themed Writing Prompts on Task Cards

There are 24 winter/holiday themed task cards included here. Some of them are journal prompts and some of them are quotes for students to write responses to. You can pick and choose which ones you want to give to the students or let the students decide. You can give each student all of the cards, you can give each student one card or you can give each student a choice of two or three cards. It’s up to you how you want to use them. There are also four blank cards for you to write in your own writing prompts.

There is a dotted line in the task card design to make cutting the cards very easy. You can use regular paper or use card stock and laminate them to use again.

The writing prompts are aligned with the CCSS for grades 5-12 and they are listed for your convenience.

Use them for:
