In my newest reading workbook, students will learn that there are two types of homonyms: homophones and homographs. The lessons are geared to students functioning on the second grade reading level, but can be used with advanced first graders and third graders also. Students will be introduced to three sets of homonyms at a time. Multisensory techniques for learning are used in every lesson. There are pictures for the visual learner. Spell and say aloud (also called cheering the word) for the auditory learner. There are plenty of opportunities for tracing and writing each word, for the kinesthetic learner. There are 24 lessons and 2 pages of directions.
