Product Description
This is a fun way to introduce the witch hysteria, Salem Witch Trials, or a Halloween activity. There is a Doodle Note for the students to write down their answers and a few notes. On the PowerPoint, there is a quiz that the students can take to see if they would have been convicted of witchcraft with explanation's for the questions. Students always think it's funny but it really shows how crazy the witch trials were. There is a link to the video clip from Monty Python with a question. They also look at the painting titled, The Trial of George Jacobs.

This lesson was created for the students to have a little fun and still learn about the hysteria. If there is any time left (usually there isn't because discussion is so great) we use a ReadWorks worksheet about the origins of Halloween. That ReadWorks worksheet is NOT included but easily accessible and FREE on the ReadWorks website.
