Wizard of Oz Mystery Pictures using sight words. Set of three detailed pictures featuring Dorothy, the Wicked Witch of the West, and the Scarecrow.
This Mystery Picture set includes the following:
Dorothy mystery grid page
Dorothy answer key
Wicked Witch mystery grid page
Wicked Witch answer key
Scarecrow mystery grid page
Scarecrow answer key
There are 53 sight words in this set, and they are from Fry’s first 200 words. The following words are included:
each, write, our, come, home, again, want, about, way, had, back, now, would, been, large, have, many, only, know, good, try, read, more, did, learn, ask, tell, down, say, my, same, must, was, for, one, time, came, years, hand, great, what, said, need, very, were, even, your, him, just, still, look, made, & also.
This is a fairly detailed graph. It can be visually overwhelming to young readers! I encourage my students to take it box by box….row by row…..left to right. (Just like reading a book.) I have been able to use this with children on many levels just by covering part of the grid with a piece of paper folded in half.
I hope you enjoy these mystery pictures!
