Elementary school students are expected to sit still on hard, uncomfortable chairs and the rugs nearly all day in school, but let's be honest, sitting still is overrated! Children are meant to move. Many of students tend to wiggle around in their uncomfortable seats, which makes it difficult for them to stay focused. Wobble chairs are an outlet for restlessness and extra energy.
I recently got a project funded on DonorsChoose.org for flexible seating for my students and made this rule sheet to ensure that they are using them safely and effectively.
