Students research specific questions and then complete writing prompts about American women leaders
with this set of thirty-six cards for Women's History Month, or any time.
This set of cards is designed to introduce kids to distinguished American women who were leaders in the fields of science, literature, education, history and government, and to get kids thinking about ideas related to their lives and accomplishments.
Each card begins with brief information about the accomplishments of one notable woman, and then adds an interesting question for students to research. This is followed up with a writing prompt relating to her life or field of work.
The cards are arranged three to a page and can be used in a number of ways. Assign one card per student, give a page to a group to work on together, or combine several the pages for a Women's History Month packet.
