Product Description

The American Revolutionary War brought changes. On a large scale, it changed the thirteen American colonies to one independent nation. Some changes were relatively quick. Some changes developed more slowly. It would be another 90 years until slaves were emancipated, and over 140 years until women had the right to vote. However, this historic incident did plant the seeds of change that would eventually bring independence to all. The events before and during the American Revolutionary War were catalysts that began the transformation of the gender roles for women.

This DBQ will focus on women’s roles before and during the Revolutionary War that will help answer the question - How did the events of the Revolutionary War change the gender roles for women in the American colonies?
