PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students read a speech by Elizabeth Cady Stanton on suffrage/explaining why she believed women should get the right to vote. They then answer 8 questions and complete 4 creative tasks. The tasks include creating picketing signs, the view of someone who does not want women getting the right to vote, social media posts, and news headlines and blurbs. This would be great for a sub and the answers are included where appropriate.

Sample questions include:
--What types of bondage do you think Stanton refer to when she says "a complete emancipation from all forms of bondage."
--Why does Stanton believe a complete education is so important for women?
--How have the hopes and ambitions of women been essentially changed?
--Does Stanton convince you that women should have the right to vote and a voice in the government, why or why not?
