This is a lesson plan including an activity that allows students to research a specific women in American history that was important and make connections to their impact on today's society. List of women included. Printable chart to fill in each part of assessment. Accommodations included, including a differentiated chart for Special Education students. Makes connections to Marie Curie (you can cut this part out if not relevant).

Objective: Students will be able to complete a chart detailing the beliefs, actions, and effects of one important woman in American history earning at least 12 out of the possible 15 points (80 % accuracy)

1.1 1.1 – Significant events and themes in United States history.
Explain how specific individuals and their ideas and beliefs influenced U.S. history
