Part 1: Revolutionary Women in Service
To learn about the important role women played in the Revolutionary War, students research a woman from the list provided. Then, students will write a letter to either the president or the king discussing why that woman is deserving of a service award. Materials include: lesson plan, student handouts and grading rubric.

Part 2: Student Service Project
Students plan their own service project to learn the importance of volunteer service to our communities and our nation. Materials include: lesson plan, student handouts such as project introduction, service project proposal, and presentation rubric.
