These 12 activities and primary source readings introduce students to key historical women and moments while balancing academics and creativity. These activities will work for both US History and World History and most would be great for a sub!
There are 6 primary source analysis activities with questions of varying degrees of difficulty. One includes 4 creative activities. There is a Rosie the Riveter reading activity, an interview activity (ideally done in pairs), and a matching activity allowing students to learn interesting facts about women in the curriculum and women they might not have heard of before. There is a letter analysis activity for Abigail Adams' "Remember the Ladies" with 12 questions of varying degrees of difficulty and balancing creativity and academics, there is a 20 question webquest, and lastly there is a pamphlet activity where students highlight 4 women of their choice and respond to 3 prompts. All answer keys/rubrics/point distributions are included where appropriate.
