Find some history books, turn your computers and tablets on, and enjoy learning about some new people. Have the students check out books and complete it as an in-class project. You can even take this a step further by turning it into an oral presentation, giving students a chance at practicing public speaking. Students can also use the banner pieces as an organizer and then use the information to do a more formal writing, such as a five paragraph essay.
