To learn about Women's History Month, students visit 6 websites and answer 20 questions of varying degrees of difficulty. Many of the questions are opinion based but the other answers are included where appropriate.
Sample questions include:
--Pick another area of society where women are excluded, or an area where it is hard for women to be accepted, and explain why that is the case. Do you think it will ever change? What might it take for there to be a change?
--Many women have become astronauts and traveled to space. What sets Sally Ride apart from them?
--How is Beads for Education fighting for girls/giving them a chance at a future? Is it doing enough, why or why not?
--Explain the meaning, in its historical context, of Anthony’s quote “failure is impossible.”
--Women are represented on various currencies around the world. Should a woman be on any American currency? If so who and why? If not, explain why.
--plus a creative task about a female superhero of the students' creation!
