: All women were custom drawn and are original to this pack. This pack includes 24 "Pattern Portraits" featuring famous women throughout history. They are perfect to use and display after doing research. During March here in the United States, the month is designated as a time to celebrate women and their accomplishments. Although some people might like to focus on American women and their accomplishments, this pack features a few women from around the globe.
Although I designed these with Women's History Month in mind, you can pull specific women from the pack when you are studying them throughout the year.
Ways to Use: When doing a formal writing assignment having students share what they have learned about women's history, research project, Coloring Activity during recess or with a substitute, morning work coloring to introduce the figure you are studying later in the day, list facts learned about the women in history, project their portraits when introducing or talking about the individuals, use to decorate your classroom or hallway display on this topic, so much more

What are pattern portraits?
They are portraits of famous people with patterns behind the image. When students color the patterns in a variety of different colors, the finished product is whimsical and fun. They can then color the realistic image of the famous person that is in front of the patterns. These are sure to add colorful pizzazz to your classroom. For the most pep from your portraits, tell your students to use lots of different colors and try not to have two of the same colors touching.
For each person, there is a choice of a pattern portrait coloring sheet, writing paper to glue to each one, and a pennant to make a class banner. Writing paper is formatted to glue to the coloring sheet or the pennant. The extra-long pennants are really neat! You can choose what you would like to use.
