Description

This reading response collaborative activity for the novel, Wonder, will have your students engaged, accountable, and participating in critical thinking comprehension activities. No prep is needed for this group activity - just print and go.

There are 29 different comprehension questions included in this resource, covering a variety of reading skills, perfect for check-ins during your read aloud or for small group teaching in guided reading activities. Each question is based on a section of reading in the novel, with questions spanning the entire novel. This resource also contains 4 levelled exemplars for self and peer assessment and feedback activities, an assessment rubric, and a blank template.

For this activity, students will first independently answer the comprehension question on a sticky note. Students then assemble into groups of 4. They take turns reading their response aloud and explaining their thinking. They then work together (using the success criteria provided on the page) to "stick together" their responses, using everybody's ideas, to write and revise their best possible collaborative answer.
