I use these journal pages in conjunction with the Wonderopolis website. During our writing block, I put a picture from the website on the screen for the students to see. I also write a word on the board to go along with the picture. Students use their wonder journal pages to write what they know about the picture and what it makes them wonder. Students can also draw a picture. After students are done drawing I show them the explanation of the wonder (which is usually a short video or paragraph) and students write a short sentence about what they learned.
