Encourage creative thinking, inquiry, and learning with a "Wonder Journal" for your students. With lots of different graphic organizers and paper choices, you are sure to find a format that works for each of your students (read: easy and meaningful differentiation!)
This set contains (provided in color and black and white):
1 Open-ended blank page with border
5 Different pages of graphic organizers
3 Picture and writing pages (small lines, large lines, with mid-lines)
3 Writing pages (small lines, large lines, with mid-lines)
Have students think about a topic. (You can use the Wonderopolis website for inspiration, or choose a topic related to a unit of study.) Before providing information, have students brainstorm their thoughts, ideas, and what they wonder about the topic using one of the attached Wonder Journal Pages. Gather the class together to discuss or have children pair-share their ideas. Provide direct instruction or offer information through a video, text, or other source. Then have students reflect on their learning in their journal.
This is a fabulous way to start your day with a positive and inquiry based activity. It is also excellent for Depth and Complexity (especially: Unanswered Questions). Thank you for downloading and rating,
