If you’re looking for a fun, interactive activity to complete with your students after reading Wonder by R.J. Palacio, THIS is the resource for you! Students will design their own Wonder self-portrait using mixed media supplies that represent their interpretation of themselves. They will also reflect on their portrait and write a brief explanation of their choices!
THIS RESOURCE INCLUDES:
-Teacher and student directions
-Templates for face shape, hair style, eyes, ears, and accessories
-Wonder Portrait page to complete the activity
-Wonder Portrait essay page to attach to the bottom of the portrait
-EDITABLE student directions page so you can adjust accordingly
NOTE: This is part of my larger Wonder Workbook Unit
During this project, your students will create their own “Wonder Portrait” that best depicts them and what they represent. They will have a BLAST designing their very own image based on the novel Wonder by R.J. Palacio!
Please download the preview for more information. The preview provides images of the Wonder Portrait in action.
