This is a complete set; these nine vocabulary tests cover the whole book. This vocabulary package for Wonder was written for use in regular, inclusion, and special education fifth grade classrooms.
The complete package includes 145 pages of regular and modified tests for inclusion and/or special education classrooms, study guides for students, classwork sheets, and answer keys for teachers. All nine tests are matching answers and fill in the blanks. Each test has between 11 and 18 vocabulary words, and between 14 and 18 questions. Modified tests are broken down and contain between 5 and 6 vocabulary words in each section. Tests are easy to grade. Students will not have to flip the paper.
Unlike many of the vocabulary list other companies have published, if the author explained the word in the book I do not include it on my list. Also, all definitions correspond to the use of the word in the text.
There are two sets of classwork sheets in this package, one regular and one modified. The modified set contains a context clue sentence for each word. All the sentences relate to the novel. Both sets also include the page and paragraph number for each word, and directions requiring students to give the definition based on context clues, and the dictionary meaning. Study guides are given out after students complete classwork sheets. Study guides provide a space for the student’s name and the quiz date. The study guides are typed so that students can cut out the words and meanings and use them to study by matching them up. They can also cut them out and paste them on index cards.
