My students absolutely LOVE this book! I hope that your class will enjoy reading this book as much as mine does. It is definitely one of our favorites. As a teacher, I love it because it is perfect for teaching perspective, character traits and is a great way to promote kindness.
This unit includes a character notebook for notes on the characters. The character notebooks also have a place for a short summary of each section. The second part of this unit is the response journal. This journal contains vocabulary and response questions for each section of the book. It also contains end of the book response questions and a writing prompt. These can all be put into a booklet form, or handed out after each section. The last part of the unit is the Character Trait Map.
I have also included a book themed STEM challenge with complete directions for the teacher and a planning/recording sheet for the students.
Finally, I have included a page to record ideas on how to spread kindness, as well as examples of the 7 Habits. My school is a Leader in Me school, so we are always focused on the Habits.

I'm just getting started on TPT after 19 years of teaching. Please check back often for more items to be loaded. I have a little bit of everything, but I specialize in book units, economics, and baseball themed items.
