Help your students learn their spelling words by using a mystery code finder.
Great to use as a Word Work Center. Create 6 sets and you have a fun, hands on, spelling activity for your kiddos.
I have this blog post here: http://www.lorys2ndgradeskills.com/search/label/Mystery%20Words
In my class I use them in centers (that way I make 6 copies ;) .
I run them on colored cardstock. Each week a different color (for easy organization ;)
I use silver rings to hold them together so that the kids can take the set apart.
I copied the set of letters, cut them and placed them in a school box. (I laminated them and just use the same ones over and over even though there are new letter cards in each unit. )
I took a copy of 1 unit and put it on the cover.
Some kids like to answer all the cards first before they write their answers down... some kids figure out 1 word... write it down and then do another.
This product was created by me to Supplement the Wonders Reading program in my classroom. I am not affliated with the company... just providing additional activities and opportunities for my reading students.
