This product accompanies the shared read texts from McGraw Hill's Wonders Reading Program for Second Grade. The questions in this activity will encourage your students to use their inferencing skills and search for text evidence to prove their answers. The format of this product has been adapted and modified for students who need writing lines, sentence starters, or sentence frames.
Acknowledge differences in the points of view of characters, including by speaking in a different voice for each character when reading dialogue aloud.
Describe the overall structure of a story, including describing how the beginning introduces the story and the ending concludes the action.
Describe how characters in a story respond to major events and challenges.
Recount stories, including fables and folktales from diverse cultures, and determine their central message, lesson, or moral.
Ask and answer such questions as who, what, where, when, why, and how to demonstrate understanding of key details in a text.
