Students can use these 20 task cards to review word analysis strategies (aligned with Reading SOL 5.4). The task cards are modeled after the end-of-year SOL Reading test. Students can use these task cards independently, with a partner, or in a small group. They will record their answers on an answer sheet and check their work using an answer key (both are provided). This is a great activity for centers, early finishers, review, and morning work. Directions for preparation and use are included.

SOL 5.4b: use context and sentence structure to determine meanings and differentiate among multiple meanings of words
