Description

Word associations speech therapy: target word association skills in speech therapy with these ENGAGING analogy worksheets!

Perfect for upper elementary (grades 3-5).

Let‘s say your student understands pictures that go together.

If you need to work on word associations at the “next level”, try analogies: these worksheets will challenge your students to make comparisons and analyze relationships between words. For example, can your student complete category analogies?

These vocabulary worksheets provide a FUN, quick way to work on completing word analogies! These no prep, low ink worksheets will save you time AND have an engaging “mysterious” theme!

Types of analogies targeted include:

Category Analogies

Object Function Analogies

Associated Parts / Parts Analogies

Location Analogies

There are a total of 20 worksheets.

Your student simply finishes each sentence in order to complete the analogy.

These worksheets provide an easy way to take word association skills to the next level- plus, analogies are often used on standardized tests. These skills are sure to help them in the classroom.

Each type of analogy (category, object function, associated parts/ parts, and location) is paired with a “mysterious” theme (Big Foot, Yeti, UFOs, and the Loch Ness Monster). My students have had SO much fun discussing these topics!
