This is an activity where students make and read consonant vowel consonant words (CVC). Students practice reading and making these easy to decode words. In this activity students write the beginning sound of the picture and then put all the letters together to make a word. Then they match the word on their card to a picture card with the word on it. Print this activity on card stock, laminate for durability and have students start practicing. This is a great activity for a learning station working with letters and words. Great for Kindergarten or lower level first graders. This activity comes with one worksheet which can be used for additional practice or assessment where students have to cut and paste a picture to the correct word.
