Word Choice Halloween Craftivity: The Dull Word Graveyard

This engaging, activity puts a fun spin on choosing exact & interesting word choice! Just print and go! It also makes a creative bulletin board or school hallway display for October. (However, I believe that this craftivity could be completed at any time throughout the school year.)

• Worksheet- Students will complete a worksheet where they read 6 sentences, and list exact, interesting words that could replaced the dull underlined word in each sentence.

• Activity- Students choose 4 word from each section of their worksheet and rewrite them on the headstone images beneath the word "survivors". Next, students color and cut out the images and glue them onto a sheet of construction paper to form the craftivity.

Student-friendly directions are included so that you can place the directions under your document camera, and students can refer to them as they complete the project. An answer key and preparation instructions for the teacher are also included.
