This resources has been devised to support our children to know the names and definitions of 11 key word groups. Those word groups are:

  • nouns
  • adjectives
  • verbs
  • adverbs
  • proper nouns
  • conjunctions
  • pronouns
  • prepositions
  • modal verbs
  • time connectives
  • determiners

Each word has a clue, and the children must solve the clue to identify the word classification term. Letter length is included in brackets with the clue to support the children.

This activity is great for home learning, Literacy Centers, early morning activities, or early finishers. It also supports embedding language acquisition as well as accurate spelling of the technical terms.
